Was Jesus just a good teacher who taught a better way to live?    

Jesus infuriated powerful men by calling them hypocrites, white-washed tombs, and similarly insulting terms. To his disciples and the people he talked often of judgement and hell. He taught on his own authority, not of previous scholars as was typical at that time. He accepted worship and forgave sins. He said that he deserved the same honor that was due to God, and told others to believe in him, to trust him, and that he was the only way to reach God.
